Will’s Happy and Gay Harmony Tour

Join us on a beautiful sunny late Autumn morning for a jolly drive across the plains to the North, through forest and farmland, over hills and dales, following the Burke and Wills track through Victoria, NSW and Queensland to the sea (well, only as far as Mia Mia, south-east of Bendigo).

Starting from the Western Freeway at Rockbank, we will travel along the Eastern side of the Lerderderg State Park to Gisborne, thence to Riddell's Creek, Romsey and Lancefield and up the Burke and Wills Track to Mia Mia, for the usual delicious CFA morning tea. Mia Mia is significant as the home of John Duigan, who built and flew Australia’s first plane in 1910.

After morning tea, we will drive South, through Redesdale, Tylden, Trentham, through the Wombat State Forest to Blackwood and Greendale, then on to Ballan and Fiskville. Turning East, we dive down and around the hills at the Northern end of the Brisbane Ranges, then travel across open plains through Exford to our lunch destination, the most unexpected, delightful, historic Eynesbury Homestead. There we will have a 2 course carvery meal in a private, roomy, clear wall marquee among the gum trees. Numbers are unlimited, so dust off the old girl and come along!

The whole run offers easy navigation and driving, with a minimum of possible confusion, and will cover about 100k’s before morning tea and 140k’s before lunch.

But fear not, because after lunch there is only a short drive East to access the Western Freeway near our starting point, or West and South to Geelong.

Remember, in car harmony is guaranteed, or your money back!
