PORSCHE SHOW ‘N’ SHINE
40th Anniversary at President’s Day, Sandown Racecourse
Sunday 1st November 2015
To tie in with PCV’s 40th Anniversary celebrations, this year’s PCV Show ‘n’ Shine will be held at our President’s Day event.
Sandown will provide room for unlimited entries, so all members who would like to show off their pride and joy will be able to do so. It will also provide a tarmac surface for all cars as well as more favourable bump in and departure times.
President’s Day activities available for Show ‘n’ Shine entrants include: Taking part as a passenger in hot laps of Sandown courtesy of our experienced track drivers; Staying on to share the usual drinks and finger food at 4pm following conclusion of on-track activities.
A number of positions are open for the event to assist the Social Committee with the running of activities.
- Marshalling vehicles into nominated positions on the apron behind pit garages
The number of participating cars will drive the number of assistants required on the day. Please indicate your offer to assist when booking.
Bump in – 09:00-10:00
Judging – 10:00 – 13:00 – Track cars to be judged during lunch time break depending on numbers.Otherwise judging to be split into 2 time slots.
Presentation – 14:30
Vehicles can exit the event upon completion of the presentations.
Entry fee is just $25 per car. This is reduced to $15 if same car is being entered to drive on track this President’s Day.
Cut-off date: 23rd October, 2015.

- Historic Porsche (356, 901 etc to 1973)
- Boxster & Cayman
- Torque Tube (924, 944, 928 & 968)
- Cayenne, Macan & Panamera
- Mid 911 (SC, Carrera & 964)
- Modern 911 (996, 997 & 991)
- Members Choice
- Master Class
- Ladies Choice
- Track Class (must be track prepared and competed in at least 1 PCV track event within the past 12 months)
A Ladies Choice award has been added this year as many ladies accompany their track driving partners to President’s Day and we value their involvement.
Please note that all vehicles eligible for judging must be Porsche and do not comprise of non-Porsche engines or chassis.
Judging will continue with the successful format of a relaxed scrutinising applied to the Club Class Registers and stricter judging being applied to the Master Class that applies to the winners of a Club Class award for the previous 2 years.
Track vehicles will be awarded 2 points per PCV track event entered within the past 12 months.
