THE LAST RUN
TO THE ROYAL GEELONG YACHT CLUB
Sunday 22nd November 2015
The Royal Geelong Yacht Club (RGYC) is the venue for our Last Run being conveniently located on the award-winning Geelong waterfront with only a 200 metre stroll into the city with views across Corio Bay. The Club's history dates back to 1859, making it one of the oldest established yacht clubs in Australia.
As well as providing world class yachting facilities, the club also has a very successful dining area for members and visitors. For our Last Run the lunch will be catered for by the RK Group of Geelong. Richard Kelly has won a reputation for providing innovative and first class cuisine in the region. He has put a special menu together for this event, so make sure you don't miss out.
There will be a complimentary drink upon arrival at Royal Geelong Yacht Club.
As usual we will meet at the Rockbank Service Centre for a pleasant run through the hills with morning tea at the Anakie CFA.
Parking at RGYC
On Sunday 22nd November, Geelong is hosting the 'Run Geelong' event. Fortunately the event will have finished by the time we arrive at RGYC. but parking will be at a premium. Two options for parking will be available:-
1. Park your vehicle in any suitable on-street car park that is available close to RGYC or
2. Secure parking in a private car park opposite RGYC has been arranged at $5.00 per vehicle. This car park can accommodate all vehicles and will be supervised during the afternoon. "The private parking is part of the Vue apartments which I use on a regular basis when sailing and know the guy who manages it. He will supervise parking and provide security for our vehicles" - David Turner, Run Organiser.
