Mid 911 Register Run to the Hogget Kitchen Restaurant, Warragul

All Mid 911 Register Members, other PCV Members and potential members are invited to participate in our second Register run of 2019 to the Hogget Kitchen Restaurant in West Gippsland. The Hogget Kitchen, opened in early 2017, is owned and operated by chef Trevor Perkins. His focus is on using locally sourced food and wines. The décor is modern whilst retaining an open, country feel assisted by the ambience of an open fire place.

The first stage of the run takes us south-east from Endeavour Hills via Officer, Koo Wee Rup, Lang Lang to our morning tea destination, The Borough Department Store at Korumburra. Don’t worry gents, despite the odd name this place is not an excuse for a ladies shopping expedition! Just fine coffee and cakes.

The second part of the run takes us up into some fantastic Porsche (winding) roads with spectacular views over the rolling hills of West Gippsland and provides glimpses of Bass Strait. Our luncheon destination is on the outskirts of Warragul.

Lunch will consist of two courses (mains and dessert). The restaurant specialises in local products, so depending on availability the menu selections are only finalised close to the date. A selection of locally produced wines (Wild Dog Winery) are also available for purchase. Note from this venue it is only 3km back to the M1 Freeway entrance at Warragul so your return journey to Melbourne will be typically 1- 1.5 hours.
