DECA

DECA Motorkhana & Hill Climb

Sunday, 19 June 2016

After our sprint day at Winton on Saturday and a very pleasant dinner in Shepparton on Saturday night, Sunday offers a chance to exercise and develop a new range of skills in motorkhana events at the DECA facility just north of Shepparton.

You are welcome to enter DECA whether you attended the Winton sprint or not. Lots of people love the friendly environment and different range of skills presented of motorkhana events.  Never out of 1st or 2nd gear, but fabulous fun.

Gates will open at 08:00 and scrutineering will start at 08:30 to give people a reasonably leisurely start to the morning.

Like last year we will be running a point-to-point "hillclimb" on the back track with concurrent skid pan motorkhana exercises in the morning.  In the afternoon, the exciting head-to-head skid pan challenges will be run.

Note:  The PCV Standing Competition Rules provide for scoring to be based on the accumulated times for each run. This year, the best run of the day will be used, so 10.2 (ix) Scoring will now read "The best time taken (including penalties) on each Course will be used to determine the result.".

If you haven’t done a motorkhana before, come to DECA, it is great fun and there will be lots of opportunities to get tips from more experienced competitors.

Entry Fee - DECA $130

Breakfast rolls and lunch will be provided as part of the entry.

Entrée Class - Entrants in the entrée class are welcome. Mentors will not be riding with you at this event, but there will be plenty of experienced drivers there to give you tips. No advanced driver training, fire extinguishers or dorians are required. All you need is a CAMS Level 2S Licence, an approved helmet, suitable clothing (see Supp Regs) and a roadworthy vehicle. Please note Entrée Class numbers are strictly limited. Click Here for more Entree Class Information.

Marshals - Please consider helping us with flag and timing marshalling at DECA. We always struggle to get enough people at this event, so if you are coming up for the weekend or would just like to lend a hand, email Mark here.
