 Waterford

Hi all,

Yeah it’s this time of the year again just in case you thought things are getting sleepy in the new PCI-Calendar year. The South has already kicked off the new Year with a Drive on New Year’s Day and we would like to round off the first month of the new season with our annual Waterford Dinner and the now traditional Trophy presentation for last Year’s PCI-Karting Championship 2011.

The Venue: Jack Meade’s Pub

Meeting time: 19.30

Duration: from 8 til late

Schedule: Annual Southeast Dinner with Karting-Trophy presentation combined

Overnights accommodations:

Some rooms (about 6) have been allocated for the Club at this point with a price tag for a twin bed room of 40.-E’s (usually 45.-) per Person including Breakfast in Woodlands Hotel Waterford to the east of the City on the Dunmore Road. Single rooms are also available at 50.- Breakfast included. If you are interested in booking a room please ring the Woodlands Hotel on 051 392700 talk to Sandra, Marion or Gillian and mention you are part of the Porsche Club Ireland group staying for the one night.

We always have some great craic in Jack Meade’s only this time we will be upstairs in a room for ourselves with our own bar and the usual banter will take hold I am sure as we carry on into the evening/night. We hopefully have a slideshow accompanying us if proper connections can be arranged of Photos from the past season and seasons and surely some will remember the actions that had taken place throughout the year.

Trophy’s will be presented to our new PCI-Karting 2011 Champion Joe as to all members who have participated in last year’s Championship if now one point or 89 points. I feel it should be rewarded that our Members make considerable efforts to come to our sessions and display their bravery and competitive skills with ease, in a comrade manner with a smile and fairness, rarely else to be seen.

It is also to kick-start our Southeast season as we look forward to plenty of local drive’s as well as just simple meetings to stay in touch on a more regular basis. Last year was a great year and it will be as good if not better this year especially with a lot of helping hands on from Joe, Jimi, Shane and Dermot. I can’t wait for another year of fun with our Porker’s if it’s now on the road or just a simple breakfast meeting or a night like this one on the 28th to reminisce and have a bit of banter.

In the meantime if you need any more info please contact me on gnd911@live.com or ring/txt 085 7818824

I can’t wait and hope to see you there!

George
