PHILLIP ISLAND SPRINT

Sunday 22nd January 2017

Our first event of 2017 will be the always popular Summer Supersprint at Phillip Island and again, we have secured the higher 95dBA noise limit. Entrée Class will again be reinstated for this and hopefully future PCV events.

Gates will be open from 7.00am. Supp Regs available from here .

Entry Fee $260 with own car numbers / $270 if you require numbers.  Garages can be booked with Entry

A 2017 Vehicle Registration Form is required to be submitted to be eligible for Competition Points. Click here for a blank form, or return the pre-filled form that was emailed on 7th December 2016. Forms will need to be returned in sufficient time for the Scrutineers to review the form prior to the close of entries. Early forms are appreciated.

Competition Class

Evidence of prior experience or satisfactory completion of a high performance driver-training course is a Club requirement for the timed competition classes.

All competitors will require a Dorian transponder to be fitted to their cars for official times to be recorded. Please make sure they are properly fitted and charged. Dorians can be hired for the day, but must be booked at time of entry.

Entrée Class - fully booked

Entree Class will be run at Phillip Island. Entree Class is the ideal racetrack introduction for new members and those who haven't competed before. Entree Class numbers are limited.

Entrants in the entrée class get separate sessions of un-timed practice. Instructors will be provided from experienced club members. No advanced driver training, fire extinguishers or Dorians are required. All you need is a CAMS Level 2S Licence, an approved helmet, suitable clothing (see Supp Regs) and a roadworthy vehicle. This is the perfect introduction to track days for new members. Please note Entrée Class numbers are strictly limited.

Click Here for further Entree class information.

Passenger Laps during Lunch Break

Passenger laps will be run during the lunch break, subject to all marshals that want rides being catered for and all passengers signing disclaimers.

Open Pit Afternoon Session

If participants’ numbers drop off by mid-afternoon (common on many of our sprint days), we may consider the option of having an open pit from 3:30pm until close at 5:00pm. This open pit session may be declared either timed or untimed. If untimed, entrants can take another entrant with them on the track or have another entrant drive their car for training or evaluation purposes. All entrants that ride as passengers must sign a disclaimer.

A final decision on exercising this option will be made on the day.

PCV Marshalling Team - Please contact Mark Horton Andrews via email if you are available to assist with this event or are new and would like to give marshalling a try.
