This is our second race of the new Championship season and what a cracker we had to the start of the season at the Karting Centre in Athboy. I would like to thank again all participants who came to the last race and made it a great start to the season with some fantastic racing, reigniting camaraderie and rivalry and meeting new members who took up the challenge of our Championship.
The theme is racing for the Championship with emphasis on a lot of Fun as well as Racing.
Bring your Friends to help make up Numbers and maybe we can get some deductions if we get over the amount of numbers required.
The Venue has been developed by Toni a previous All-Ireland Karting Champion in a Gearbox Kart into one of the best tracks in the country and prominent with Karting Clubs from all over Ireland.
Toni invested into a new fleet of gas powered Karts and they seem to be very even as he has assured me.
The Track is 1000 m long and 8 m wide inviting for overtaking manoeuvres with some tricky sections, but with quality surface rarely to be seen and entices for some great racing.
Drivers get a 4 lap practice session, followed by qualifying heat.
Grid positions are determined by points/times scored in qualifying heat and all the drivers will compete in the Grand Final.
It’s a must been venue for anyone who loves a bit of "craic" and would like to test his driving skills on a track in Kart Racing.

Cost per driver €50
Newcomers to the Karting fraternity are always welcome and will be looked after to the best of our ability’s.
