With the end of summer approaching, we are delighted to announce our October weekend drive to the North of Ireland.
With our previous weekend events in Sneem and Westport having great attendance and this being the last weekend event of the year we advise to book early. We have secured a great rate from The Four Seasons Hotel in Monaghan of €310 for two nights B&B for double / twin rooms on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October.
Saturday 29th October, join a group drive to Monaghan from your home Region. You may reserve a table in the hotel restaurant or should you choose to eat elsewhere, there are a selection of restaurants in the town. Two of many restaurants in the vicinity are The Batch Loaf on North Road Monaghan and The Squealing Pig Pub & Restaurant, The Diamond, Monaghan Town.
Sunday 30th October all-day tour in the beautiful North of Ireland, taking in some fantastic scenery with an informal group dinner in The Four Seasons that evening. More details on the drive below.
Monday 31st October will bring drives towards home with an optional group lunch stop
Here's how to book your place
Step One, register with your Club HERE so that we know that you are coming. Upon completion of the registration form you will see a promo code for the special hotel rate. Please make a note of the promo code because you will need it for Step Two!
Select the ‘book now’ option (top right-hand corner)
Enter the promo code in the ‘Do you have a promo code?’ blank. You need not select a date first--the promo code will automatically select the 29th - 30th.dates when the page opens. Click SEARCH
When the reservation page opens, change the check out date from the 30th to the 31st.
Confirm that the rate is the special €310 for check in on the 29th and check out on the 31st. Click CONTINUE.
Complete your reservation with the appropriate details
Reservations made using the promo code must be guaranteed at time of booking with credit/debit card details. Pre-payment for all rooms will be taken 48-hours prior to the date of arrival from the card details used to guarantee the reservation. Guests have complimentary cancellation up until 12 noon, 48-hours prior to arrival. All cancellations must be made via the hotel’s website by the guests themselves; failure to do so will result in the total reservation amount being charged to the card details. After charging the payment are non-refundable and non-transferable.
The discounted bedroom rate is inclusive of breakfast and complimentary use of the hotel’s award-winning 4Fit Leisure Club facilities; 18m swimming pool, steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and gym. Our route will take us into counties Tyrone and Derry, where we will run the length of the Sperrin Mountain,s passing through Gortin and Plumbridge on the way. We then head for an early lunch break at the Roe Park Resort on the outskirts of Limavady. After lunch our route crosses the costal lowlands until we reach the side of Binevnagh Mountain, where we will climb the escarpment via Eagles Rock hillclimb to enjoy the elevated view back across Lough Foyle to Donegal. We traverse the North Coast, passing the Mussenden Temple (weather dependant or Opt A lap of NW 200), until we reach the university town of Coleraine, from where we will follow the River Bann southwards to Lough Neagh. Keeping to the West side of the Lough we briefly join the M1 motorway heading West at Tamnamore turning off toward Eglish and then onto Caledon and Middletown as we wind our way back to Monaghan.
