With a display of over 250 Classic, Veteran and Vintage cars as well as motorbikes lined-up from over 40 Classic Car Clubs, many of Ireland’s leading Collectors, special Feature Cars and a French Flair theme the 2016 Show looks to have been one of the best yet.

Car enthusiasts enjoyed many special treats at the RDS Simmonscourt Pavilion and saw such special vehicles as – The Model T Ford used the in 1916 TV Series 'The Rebellion', A 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta SWB – which is unique in Ireland and which appeared on the Ferrari Owners’ display stand, a unique Panhard CD, which has never before been shown in Ireland or the UK.

There were close to 70 Commercial Stands, AutoJumble and a continuous programme of interviews presented by Leo Nulty on the main RIAC stage. Once again Porsche Club Ireland was invited to attend and display some Porsche Classic at the 2016 Show which took place over the weekend of 5th and 6th March. The cars, flags, banners, tables etc. were put into position early Friday morning which meant that PCI were one of the first clubs to have their stand sorted.

We had great support from members in putting their cars forward and as space was limited we could only display three cars of the many offered. However, we did have three superb cars: John Le Gear had his silver 930 Turbo, Barry Ahern with his 1994 midnight blue 993 C2 and Ray Seniors grey1978 Porsche 911 3.0 Sport Classic (resto-mod), three stunning cars which all attracted much attention. Must have been the most photographed cars at the show!

Thanks to all those who helped with displaying their cars, providing photos & video for display on the large TV, brochures, the 'bright' green rugby shirts which meant no one could sneak off without being seen!! To the volunteers who manned the stand over the weekend and all our visitors including new members who joined over the weekend, a big thanks. Always lots goes on behind the scenes to hold any event but well done all involved in helping to promote Porsche Club Ireland!
