The Kinsale Vintage and Classic Motor Club are organising a Charity Vintage Run from Kinsale, Co. Cork to Dunmore East, Co. Waterford in aid of the recent trawler disasters off the coasts of Cork and Waterford. This run will take place on Sunday, 18th March 2007 and will raise funds for the families of the missing fishermen from the Honeydew II and the Pere Charles trawlers.

The participating vintage cars will assemble on Sunday 18th March from 9.00 am at the pier in Kinsale town for registration and leave at 10am sharp. Bikes will assemble at the Glen car park for registration at 11.00 and leave at 12 noon. Cars and bikes will follow a pre-planned route, passing through many of the major towns along the way, arriving in Dunmore East between 2.00 pm and 2.30 pm. Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be available here.

At the finish of the route, in Dunmore East, there will be prayers of remembrance for the lost fishermen and the laying of a wreath in their honour at 3.00 pm.

We expect this charity run to be a very large show of public support for the families of the fishermen. We would appreciate your joining with us in an effort to raise public awareness and much needed money for the disaster funds.

Should any of PCI members be interested in participating and require further details please contact the Kinsale Vintage and Classic Motor Club Chairman:

You can also contact our P.R.O

Please note, that all participants require their own valid car insurance.

Yours in motoring,
