The trip is 300Km; 7 hours incl. lunch and stops. Should be back in Cork 17:30.
From The Commons Hotel to Mallow, turning left under the railway bridge 1Km North of Mallow on N20 Limerick Road along a super driving route via Newcastle west (N21 ‘Limerick’ at the roundabout, then left at the sign R521 Foynes and right at the Texaco/Londis) taking R521, turning left at Foynes N69 > Tarbert: straight through on R551 to Beal, the first beach at the mouth of the mighty Shannon. Then >Ballybunion for a well earned coffee (the beaches are a short walk down Main St).
From ‘BallyB’ to R551 >Ballyheigue and on to Tralee to the Gally’s ‘the best lunch in Kerry’! for Lunch. From there we are heading East to pick up N70 direction Killarney, as far as Castlemaine, turning left at the T junction for R 561 ‘Kerry Airport’ and straight through (dangerous cross road) Farranfore to the R577 and all the way to Banteer and home via Nad.
