We would be happy to have a Porsche area at our show which this year is called 'Carole Nash Classic Car and Motorcycle Live' and takes place on Sunday June 17th.
The basics of the event are that we have a mixture of the traditional Classic show where clubs and individuals display their vehicles. Alongside that we have the live portion of the show where we have the track busy all day. The programme of track activity includes:
Classic Car race demos.
Pre '55 Car race demos.
Classic Motorcycle race demos.
Track Day style, high speed track sessions (these need to be pre-booked and spaces are limited, there is a cost for these sessions).
Parade laps (these do not need to be pre-booked and offer all show exhibitors some free of charge touring laps of the track).
Other attractions of the show are:
The tarmac display area which makes us less weather sensitive than other shows.
Our hospitality suites that can be booked for a club as a central meeting point complete with catering if required.
The Mondello Park Motorsport Museum which is open to all show visitors free of charge.
A complimentary event programme for all exhibitors.
For clubs such as PCI we provide 10 free spaces (car & driver free) with each additional space costing €10 for car and driver, for this you receive entrance to the show, a guaranteed space in the main display area, a souvenir of the event and your parade laps.
Clubs can promote themselves through banners and signs at their allocated space.
The age restrictions for individual cars is that they must be pre 1982 but for clubs we allow their members with newer cars to display them as long as they look right and fit in with the spirit of the event. If you club does not wish to attend as a unit we would be happy to accommodate any of your members who wish to attend as individuals.
If you have drivers in your club with classic race cars who have previously held a car racing licence they can enter the race car demos without having to purchase a competition licence, subject to their cars being accepted by the HRCA who organise the car race demos at the event.
Additional Information specific to PCI members
We're delighted that you will be joining us. I spoke to John Morris and he said that we would be willing to take any age of Porsche rather than sticking to our normal age criteria as he feels your club would be a great addition to the show.
If its ok with you, from here on in could you deal with Jenny, firstname.lastname@example.org (telephone 045860200) in the Mondello office as she keeps a record of all entries and is responsible for sending out the stickers to all exhibitors which allow them quicker access to the venue on the day and allow us to know which cars are FOC and which are not. If you have additional cars, i.e. more than ten she can also handle bookings and advance payment if you wish to avail of this.
We have spaces available on our High Speed Track Day sessions and on our slow speed Parade Laps and again these can be booked through Jenny. There is a charge for the 'Track Day' sessions. The parade laps are free but booking in advance would allow all of the Porsche drivers who wish to take part, to be grouped on track together.
